Come Back Kid

We just showed up this morning and Dad was wide awake. As soon as I walked in he reached his hand out to me to hold it. We talked to him for several minutes (when I say talk we do the talking he does the listening with the occasional head nod, thumbs up, or smile:). He may be upset that the Utes made a 4th Quarter comeback last night, but he was very excited to put his hand on Krista's growing belly to feel the baby. The nurse said that she asked Dad if he was in pain earlier this morning and he said no. We cannot believe that we are here with him. We are certain that it is because of all the little prayers you have offered, thank you (now if you wouldn't mind offering one more prayer that we can get that stupid respirator out today).

We can't tell you how blessed we feel by all of the different families that we have:
First there is the immediate/extended Family. We have learned so much this last week about how important it is to maintain strong relationships with the family around you. We have all leaned on each other and it is no doubt that Family is truly the best gift one could have.

Our Friend Family
- Again how blessed we are to have your unrelenting support. You won't leave the waiting room, and quite frankly, we don't want you too. You guys have been so huge to come and brighten our days with fun memories of Dad, and what kind of friend he is. We as his kids feel so blessed that our parents became friends with you, we love you like you are our own....actually you are our own.

The Life Flight Family -GUARDIAN ANGELS!!! You guys are so great to have around. You sit in the back of the room not talking to anybody but as soon as there is reason to be concerned you jump in and ask all of the right questions. Again how blessed are we that Mom's career path put you guys in her life. Now you are in our life and we feel so lucky to have you, your knowledge, and your love & support.

Roadway Family
- Again what a blessing it is that Dad has had the support from you guys. Thank you for being aware last Thursday and making the decision to call the ambulance. Dad has a special place in his heart for his drivers and those he works with, you guys are the reason that he wanted to go to work everyday, bad heart and all! Thank you for the visits and support. Dad has truly loved being back at his old stomping grounds - "not selling trinkets and being with the boys in blue" as Ron Vanbibber would say. You guys are our Family.

Again where would we be without God's grace right now. We don't know how long this will last but the odds look good that Dad will get to come home and that we will be able to have conversations with him. What a blessing. Thank you all for your love and support we would not be here with out your unselfishness, and God's will to listen to all of our prayers.

We will post more as things change. Keep your fingers crossed! We love you.

It's so good to hear that Scott is doing much better, awake and coherent. You are all in our prayers and will continue to be in our prayers. I check this every day to see how Scott is doing. Love you all,
The Rowberrys

Dear Parry family, Cheryl has been my closest friend for 20 years and has often talked about her family. Since Scott’s heart attack she has called me each day to tell me how he is doing. In the beginning her tears broke my heart as she talked about Scott’s condition, your family, and how hard this has been on all of you. Diane, you are one of the sweetest people I have ever met and my heart goes out to you as only one mother can for another mom over her child's suffering. To Scott's wife and children, I know the pain of watching a loved one go through such a struggle, and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Lately Cheryl’s calls have been so uplifting, telling of Scott’s progress, it is truly a testament of the power of prayer and the priesthood. She has told me of what a wonderful brother, husband, and father he is. After reading the comments here, I can see she is not the only one who feels this way! My prayers will continue to be with you. Hang in there Scott, you have a lot of family and friends cheering you on! Alison O’Grady

Thank you SO much for allowing me to share some time with Scott while he was awake and aware. It was such a blessing in MY life for me to be able to let him know how much I love him and to feel his love in return. Had I been in the same situation, I think I would have jealously kept that time to myself. What an amazing example of generosity and sacrifice on your part! May God continue to bless you all!!!
