It's hard to believe that it was one week ago today that we began this journey. A lot has happened and we have certainly learned that this is not our plan. Dad is starting to wake up!!! My mom said that this morning she was talking to him and he was responding with head nods. The hope today is to remove the respirator but his chest x-rays did not look all that great so we don't know if that is going to happen today.
Mom met with the Docs this morning and they had mentioned to her that it looked as if he was going to be able to make it home. Nobody at this point really knows what to expect, but nobody is surprised either. We would love to have Dad come home and consider anytime with him a gift. We don't want to develop a false hope for the future because we are certainly prepared for Him to return to our heavenly home, but we Parry's certainly know that miracles do not cease to exist. One of the things that we are tryingto focus on is that this is not our decision to make and that we are just living in the moment with him. So that is the update for this morning, I will post more as it comes up!!!
Thanks again for your love and support. Post any memories you have of Scott. He would love to hear them as he wakes up we can read them to him.

We are sorry for the things that your family is having to face right now. It can be such a roller coaster of feelings one minute your crying and the next your laughing at funny memories. Hopefully when you look back on this time you will see the tender mercies and remember the love that you are feeling from others. Thank you for the blog so we can check on the progress of Scott and your family. We have so many fond and fun memories of Scott and your family. Please know that we are thinking about you and praying for all of you.

your doing great scott! you are a true miracle. Ilove you!!
I am so excited to see that Scott is waking up! I'm glad we will have more time with him and it makes me happy for all of us. Keep fighting Scott.
Scott, here's a good memory to make you chuckle...Remember in Jackson Hole rafting on the snake river, you in your swim trunks (old men call them trunks not swim suit) and your tucked-in golf shirt...that was classic (not sure if all old men do this but Callaway on the snake is styling). You were doing everything to stay dry on this white water rafting tour down the snake, dry being the operative word. "Do you want to get wet Pops" our guide kept taunting you, "let's get pops wet". Scott resisted and resisted and was looking pretty dry. But sure enough as we approached some of the bigger rapids "pops" was thrown into the river...the worst part was your golf shirt came un-tucked...ha. I think Tim and I jumped in after that just so we'd be wet like "pops". That was such a fun trip. Thanks for the great memories. Love you all.
p.s. Kris, I gave Presli a hug (and a kiss) for you!
Love,
Brooke and Luke
