Today, on November 8, 2008 at 3:50 P.M., our Heavenly Father took one of the most precious gifts one could get on Earth, our Dad. We are so grateful and feel so blessed that the Lord saw fit to give him to us. Dad was such a wonderful genuine person, and his heart was centered around his family. He taught us so many things that will bless us for the future. The biggest gift that he taught me, his son, was how to endure to the end. He did, and he did it with a smile on his face, with love in his heart for others and he did it when he thought he couldn't do it. He has endured so much and is a testament to how I need to act as a man and a leader. He taught me that life is not about what you own or where you work, but what you do for others and how you treat them.
This week showed us how much Dad was loved. People came and never left his side, they couldn't get enough. We saw people that we hadn't seen in years; they knew, as we did, what kind of man was being called home. Somebody said to me today, "heaven doesn't know what they are getting." My response was "they do know what they are getting or else he wouldn't be leaving so early."
Dad, in his last few hours, was writing notes to us saying things like "how about a diet coke", "please donate my organs", "and that he was not afraid because he knew we " will be together forever." I believe yesterday was his gift to us - he was awake enough that he could interact with us and crack some jokes. He told us all that he loved us and that he was proud of us. That is all we needed, we thank God for that time with him.
We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers this last week...we now know that we still need those prayers as a family to maintain our strength. When I came to Mom's tonight Brynlee (one of Heather & Phil's twin girls) asked me if I was sad that Papa was gone. I responded "of course I was." Her response was "but at least we now have a Guardian Angel!" God Bless you Dad and the life that you lived. You truly were a man that blessed the lives of so many around you. We love you and will miss you but we know this is just temporary. Thank you for being "THE BEST MAN ONE COULD KNOW."
We will continue to post information here about upcoming services. Thank you and God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful dad. I believe you are correct in saying that heaven knows who they are calling home, as he is needed there. He will be able to teach many people many good lessons from his life he had here on this earth. He has alays had a very powerful spirit, as I noticed whenever we were with your family in the last few years. How lucky you will be to have such a magnificent Guardian Angel for the rest of your lives. I sure love all of you and am praying for peace and strength for each of you through these next few months.
I want to extend my sympathy. It is such a sad loss but to know it is just temporary is a wonderful feeling. Scott was an exceptional man. He will be missed. Thank you for doing this blog so we could all be updated. The Lord is with him now. That is a calming feeling.
Parry Family,
We are so sad to hear this news. We will continue to pray for you all. Thank you for doing this blog to keep us posted. As I was talking to the kids they said, "I know him he had that little cute dog Buster, and that really cool fish tank and the HUGE christmas village." I have alot of memories of your family clear back to the ol' glenmoore days when we were backyard neighbors! I know you will miss your Dad, he was a great man and because of all of you his great legacy will continue on. If you continue sharing his memories you will always remember him and be influenced by him. Our love is sent to all of you.
I work with your Dad and have grown to know and love him. I was so sad to hear of this tragic news. I have never in my life worked with a more genuine, hard working, kind man. I feel truely blessed to have been able to get to know him. My prayers are with you all.

Parry Family-
I was so sorry to hear of Scott’s passing yesterday. We are thinking and praying for your family. This must be a very emotional, delicate time for you all. The heartache will pass though, leaving cherished, beautiful memories to comfort you. Scott was a wonderful husband, father, friend and grandpa. He will be greatly missed, but finally he is at peace and pain free. The picture your family recently took is PERFECT!!! What a priceless token to have during this time. You are truly a beautiful family, not only in appearance, but also in strength and spirit. You are all such an example of forever families and what amazing things can come from tight family unity and strength. Please let us know if there is anything we can do you for you. We love you.
Love,
Mykin, Alan, Brendon, Taevyn, and Mykailyn Miner
Chris and family,
I spent the last year or so sitting next to Scott in the dispatch office at Roadway. He was a very devoted hard working man who gave his all. In fact, most days we had to make him to leave he was so concerned with seeing the job thru and making sure it was done properly. He would stay into the night until he was satisfied everything was good. He had a great scence of humor and spoke often of his kids, grandkids and loving wife. He was obviously proud of, and loved all of you. And Chris, there is at least 3 of us that will sure miss sharing the delicious lunches you packed for Scott every day with out fail..
with Deepest Sorrow for your loss, Aaron Zahler
My prayers are with your whole family during this time. Scott had a genuine heart..which is rare. I believe his heart is passed on through his two beautiful children and then on and on and on. All my love,
Rachelle

He will be more than missed...but never forgotten.
Our prayers are with you all at this time.
We LOVE you!
As soon as I stepped off the elevator on the 5th floor yesterday, I knew that something priceless was gone. What a heart-wrenching loss for all who knew and loved Scott. Truly, the world doesn't feel as nice a place today without Scottie in it. What a loving and lovable man!!!
I feel so blessed by the influence the Parry's have had on my life. I could kick myself for having missed out on the last 14 years or so; but I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to renew those friendships and feel again the Parry spirit this past week! There was so much love and even peace there at the hospital despite the tragiey of Scott's condition that I never wanted to leave. How incredibly generous of you to so unselfishly share that special time with him.
I'm am thankful to know that our associations continue after this mortality. Brynlee had it right when she said that there is now a loving guardian angel watching over the many many people and knew and loved Scott! Please know how much I loved him and will continue to love all of you. God bless!!!
